‘Winning Workers – Taking On Precarity’: Worker’s Forum Wed 8Pm 24 March

This Wednesday People Before Profit is opening their Trade Union Forum up to the public.

At 8pm our forum will host Jane Hardy from University of Hertfordshire introducing  “Winning Workers – Taking on Precarity”.

Hardy’s introduction will be recorded with an open discussion for all participants.

Jane Hardy will make the argument for trade union organising regardless of scare words like precarity and the gig economy.

  • What strategies does the trade union movement need to use?
  • What are some very recent successful examples of organising in precarious work?
  • How do we as activists and workers keep organising despite the challenges both precarious work and Covid present?
  • What kind of a trade union do we need to organise in precarious employment?

Join us PBP’s Trade Union Department this Wednesday (24 March 2021) at 8pm.
