Stop Israeli Savagery

Stop Israeli Savagery

Israel’s relentless bombing of Gaza has continued over the Christmas period and its government spokespersons claim it will last for months.

We are witnessing utmost savagery as children and non-combatants are murdered openly in front of the television screens of millions across the world.

Israel has an undeclared war aim – namely to drive people out of Gaza by making the area unlivable.

This is why it bombards everything in sight. It is also why they use the weapon of famine to drive people out. Many aid agencies have already warned that mass starvation is the latest Israeli weapon of war.

None of this could take place without the open support of the USA for Israel. They supply them with the deadly bombs. They move war ships to the area to give them cover. They veto even the most anodyne resolutions at the UN to call for ceasefire.

Truly, the US President should be known as Genocide Joe.

The Irish governments has tried to stay ahead of the anger of its own people by rhetorically calling for a ceasefire and an end to Israeli aggression in the West Bank. But this is the same government that proposed a Dáil resolution some weeks ago supporting Israel’s so called right to self defence.

It is time for action and not words. The Israeli ambassador should be told to pack their bags and a full boycott of Israeli products should be instituted.

This is why we are appealing to all supporters to attend the solidarity events below on New Years Eve.
