Some More Highlights From People Before Profits Campaign This Week

Last Sunday People Before Profit candidate in Dublin South-Central, Cllr Hazel De Nortúin, launched our Charter for Women and Gender Equality – describing the document as “a call to arms, to fight inside and outside the Dáil, for an equal and safe society”.

On Monday Cllr Conor Reddy, People Before Profit candidate in Dublin North-West, briefed the media on the struggles facing renters, particularly the younger “locked-out generation”, highlighting the over-representation of landlords in the Dáil — with a third of Fianna Fáil TDs and over a quarter of Fine Gael TDs being landlords.

This morning People Before Profit Environment Spokesperson Paul Murphy TD, a candidate in Dublin South-West, briefed the media on our manifesto pledge to ban new fossil fuel infrastructure including a ban on LNG infrastructure and new data centres. People Before Profit are the only party to make this promise in their manifesto.

Finally, this evening People Before Profit TD for Dublin Mid-West, Gino Kenny, briefed the media on our manifesto proposals to decriminalise drugs and legalise cannabis. He was joined at the briefing and a later canvas by Luke ‘Ming’ Flannigan MEP.
