How Ireland’s Trump Supporters Spread Hate

How Ireland’s Trump Supporters Spread Hate

Ireland  has a tiny far right network. Their main tactic is to put out LIES on social media to spread hate.

Just as Trump repeats his big lie – ‘I won the election,’ his Irish backers make up stories to divide people.

The social media storm around the killing of George NKencho by Garda is a perfect example of how they operate.  Here are the lies they told:

LIE 1: ‘George Nkencho had 30 previous convictions’

Totally false -even the Gardai had to contradicted this. He had NO previous convictions. He had only been arrested once – and that was under provisions of Mental Health at.

LIE 2: ‘George Nkencho was out on bail because he attacked his girlfriend with a hammer’

Totally untrue. Not a shred of evidence – a make up story.

LIE 3:  ‘He had a machete’

Untrue. He had a kitchen knife.

LIE 4: ‘He slashed the face of a shop worker – and there are pictures to prove it.’

The pictures were a fake. George Nkencho punched a shop worker – and this was totally wrong. He never slashed anyone’s face with a knife.

LIE 5: ‘George Nkencho was a thug’

He was totally wrong to attack the shop worker. He has big mental health problems and his family had tried to get help from the HSE. It never came.

THE FACTS:

George Nkencho was shot four times by Gardai, twice in the arm and twice in the chest.

His sister had opened the door of the house for him to enter. She was pushed back and two of the bullets entered their hallway.

PUBLIC INQUIRY

In 2000, John Carty a 27 years old with a long psychiatric illness was shot dead by the Emergency Response Unit of the Gardai. His sister Marie called for a full independent public inquiry.

Subsequently, a number of inquiries took place and the Irish state admitted that serious mistakes were made in the Garda operation.

The family of George Nkencho also deserve a full independent public inquiry.
