Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin is the People Before Profit Candidate for Dublin North Inner City. He has been a socialist activist for almost ten years, building campaigns on housing, environmental issues, workers’ rights and Palestine solidarity. He played a key role in the campaign to save the Cobblestone pub in Smithfield. He sees the housing crisis and the loss of cultural space in the city as part of the same approach that puts the profits of vulture funds, corporate landlords and big developers ahead of the needs of ordinary people. Eoghan is also a musician and recently won RTÉ Folk Singer of the Year, and Best Original Folk Song and for Gradam TG4’s Amhránaí na Bliana. Come to Eoghan’s launch on Thursday 18th April at 19:30 in The Grand Social. Lets get Eoghan elected to Dublin CIty Council!
